Dixon committed to the University of Notre Dame somewhat surprisingly during this past Blue-Gold Game. The Florida standout was coming off of a dominant sophomore campaign, recording 70 total tackles, while also recording 33 tackles for loss and 10.5 sacks. Dixon also posted 24 quarterback hurries, broke up five passes, forced a fumble, recovered another and blocked a kick.
This off-season he made the transition to Miami Palmetto, which are off to a 5-1 start so far this season. They head into a very important battle later today against South Dade. So far this season, the Buccaneers have been donating the opposition. Through six games, they have outscored opponents by a margin of 235 to 47.
In last year’s matchup, Palmetto won in decisive fashion against South Dade 47-13. These are different teams, which offer unique challengers. Palmetto will be depending on Dixon in the middle of the defense, both in the run game and with his ability to push the pocket.
CB LEONARD MOORE, ROUND ROCK (Texas) HIGH SCHOOL
Matchup: Round Rock (3-3) vs Vandegrift (6-0) (Round Rock, Texas)
Game Time: Thursday (10/12) at 7 PM ET

Moore hauled in an interception during Round Rock’s 42-13 dominating victory over Manor last Friday. The talented defender also collected a tackle, one reception for 11 yards and a 20 yard kickoff return. It wasn’t a flashy night but Moore had a band in every aspect of the victory.
Through five games played as a junior, Moore has recorded 21 total tackles, one interception and two pass breakups. Moore returned that one interception for a touchdown, while hauling in eight receptions for 134 yards and two touchdowns on offense.
Vandegrift heads into the matchup with an undefeated record, having outscored opponents by a 257 to 57 margin. In last year’s matchup, Round Rock fell just short, losing to the Vipers 30-22.
Moore will need to make plays on both sides of the football, as well as the team’s main punt and kick returner. His performance should be a huge indicator for what the final outcome is.
