Notre Dame Offensive Commits Set For Week Eight Action

Previewing every Notre Dame offensive recruit in action on Friday and Saturday

Over the last few games, the Notre Dame offense has struggled mightily. Luckily for the future of the Irish program, the 2024 recruiting class is bringing a long list of talented offensive players.

The next couple of days are going to bring a whole lot of high school action. Here are the offensive commits for the Irish who will be showcasing their talents, including how and when to watch.

QB CJ CARR, SALINE (Mich.) HIGH SCHOOL

Matchup: Saline (7-0) at Skyline (1-6) (Ann Arbor, Mich.)

Game Time: Friday (10/13) at 7 PM ET

Saline absolutely dominated Lincoln this past Friday, who came into the game with an undefeated record. Carr didn’t have his best game, completing 17 of 36 passes for 185, two touchdowns and one interception. He also added another two scores on the ground during the victory.

They will travel to take on a struggling Skyline (1-6) squad Friday night.

QB DEUCE KNIGHT (2025), LUCEDALE (Miss.) GEORGE COUNTY

Matchup: George County (5-2) at Hancock (7-0) (Kiln, Miss.)

Game Time: Friday (10/13) at 7 PM ET

George County put together a decisive victory last Friday, defeating Long Beach 48-7. Knight accounted for four total touchdowns on the day. That included 7 of 9 passes for 134 yards and three scores through the air. In two games since rejoining the team, Knight has scored seven total touchdowns.

Knight will have a much larger test on Friday, traveling to undefeated Hancock (7-0).

RB ANEYAS WILLIAMS, HANNIBAL (Mo.) HIGH SCHOOL

Matchup: Hannibal (6-1) vs Marshall (2-5) (Hannibal, Mo.)

Game Time: Friday (10/13) at 7 PM ET

Williams continued his historic career, rewriting the Missouri record book. Last Friday, he accounted for all of the scoring, putting the ball in the end zone four times. He is now up to 125 touchdowns in his career.

The talented runner’s services may not be needed very long when they welcome Marshall (2-5) to town.

RB KEDREN YOUNG, LUFKIN (Texas) HIGH SCHOOL

Matchup: Lufkin (4-2) vs McKinney North (5-1) (Lufkin, Texas)

Game Time: Friday (10/13) at 7:30 PM ET

With injuries, Young has had to play a lot of quarterback over the last couple of games. Lufkin comes into an important game against a very talented McKinney North (5-1) squad on Friday. Young will need to make a series of big plays during the contest.

RB JUSTIN THURMAN (2025), TAMPA BAY (Fla.) JESUIT

Matchup: Jesuit (4-2) vs Gaither (2-4) (Tampa Bay, Fla.)

Game Time: Friday (10/13) at 7:30 PM ET

Thurman has started to get things rolling after a slow start to the season. The Florida speedster accounted for 161 total yards and two touchdowns last week. He made plays both in the run game and as a pass receiver in the big victory over Bishop Verot.

He hopes to continue that momentum against a less than stellar Gaither (2-4) squad.

WR CAM WILLIAMS, GLEN ELLYN (Ill.) GLENBARD SOUTH

Matchup: Glenbard South (7-0) at Glenbard East (6-1) (Lombard, Ill.)

Williams hauled in yet another touchdown during the team’s 48-6 dominant victory over West Chicago last Friday. The Illinois star continues to show off his five-star talent. He has had just a tremendous senior campaign so far, which should continue against rival Glenbard East (6-1).

WR MICAH GILBERT, CHARLOTTE (N.C.) CHRISTIAN

Matchup: Charlotte Christian (5-2) vs Providence Day (7-0) (Charlotte, N.C.)

Gilbert continued his fantastic senior campaign last Friday, hauling in 10 receptions for 89 yards and a touchdown during the team’s 17-6 victory over Christ School. In seven games, Gilbert has now pulled in 60 receptions for 777 yards and six touchdowns.

WR LOGAN SALDATE, SALINAS (Calif.) PALMA

Matchup: Palma (4-2) at Aptos (2-4) (Aptos, Calif.)

Game Time: Saturday (10/14) at 7 PM ET

Saldate is putting together a tremendous senior campaign thus far. In six games, he has hauled in 27 receptions for 474 yards and six touchdowns. That is an average of 17.6 yards per reception average.

The talented athlete has also rushed for 52 yards and another score on just five carries. Saldate is truly a threat to score every time he gets the football in his hand.

TE JACK LARSEN, CHARLOTTE (N.C.) CATHOLIC

Matchup: Charlotte Catholic (6-2) vs Butler (7-1) (Charlotte, N.C.)

Game Time: Friday (10/13) at 7 PM ET

Larsen has been fantastic as a senior. Through eight games, he has hauled in 28 receptions for 485 yards and seven touchdowns. He has created a lot of big plays this season, evident by his 17.3 yards per reception average.

Charlotte Catholic heads into this contest with a 6-2 overall record. A talented Butler (7-1) team heads to town Friday night.

OT STYLES PRESCOD, FISHERS (Ind.) HAMILTON SOUTHEASTERN

Matchup: Hamilton Southeastern (7-1) at Brownsburg (8-0) (Brownsburg, Ind.)

Hamilton Southeastern moved to 7-1 on the season after their 19-3 victory over Franklin Central last week. On Friday, Precod and the team are set to travel to a very talented Brownsburg (8-0) team. It will be a massive matchup.

OT GUERBY LAMBERT, WEST ROXBURY (Mass.) CATHOLIC MEMORIAL

Matchup: Catholic Memorial (4-1) vs St. John’s (3-2) (West Roxbury, Mass.)

Catholic Memorial pulled out an exciting last minute victory over Xaverian Brothers 41-38. Lambert and his talented squad will welcome St. John’s (3-2) to town on Friday night.

OL ANTHONIE KNAPP, ROSWELL (Ga.) HIGH SCHOOL

Matchup: Roswell (6-1) vs Pope (0-6) (Roswell, Ga.)

Game Time: Friday (10/13) at 7:30 PM ET

Roswell put together a silly offensive outburst during their 84-6 victory over Lassiter last week. Knapp and his talented offense totaled 550 yards and nine offensive touchdowns. On Friday, Roswell will welcome a struggling Pope (0-6) squad to town.

OL PETER JONES, MALVERN (Pa.) PREP

Matchup: Malvern Prep (4-1) vs Episcopal Academy (2-3) (Malvern, Pa.)

Game Time: Saturday (10/14) at 1 PM ET

After a bye week, Malvern Prep (4-1) will take on Episcopal Academy (2-3) on Friday night. The Friars have won a lot of close games so far, outscoring opponents by an average score of 16.2 to 14.2 points per game. They will need to begin to get more consistency from their offense moving forward.
