Emeka Egbuka & TreVeyon Henderson OUT for Ohio State Buckeyes vs. Purdue Boilermakers.

The Ohio State Buckeyes will be without two of their top playmakers vs. the Purdue Boilermakers
In this story:

The Ohio State Buckeyes are set to be without one of their top stars for their matchup vs. the Purdue Boilermakers, wide receiver Emeka Egbuka, who did not make the trip to West Lafayette.

However, Egbuka will not be the only Buckeye to miss the matchup.

Running back TreVeyon Henderson is also set to miss the game vs. Purdue. It will be the Buckeyes' second consecutive game without their star running back.

Henderson missed the team's 37-17 win over Maryland last week, with an unspecified injury.

Before his injury, Henderson had been the team's most effective player on the ground, rushing for 295 yards on 44 carries with five touchdowns, and averaging 6.7 yards per carry. Henderson was replaced last week with Chip Traynum, who rushed for 61 yards on 20 carries with one touchdown vs. the Terrapins.

Meanwhile, Egbuka had hauled in three catches for 40 yards, averaging just over 13 yards per catch. His partner in crime, Marvin Harrison Jr., who's suffering from his own injury troubles, did a lot of the heavy lifting last week against the Terrapins, snagging eight receptions for 163 yards and a touchdown.

Per an announcement from the team defensive tackle Jaden McKenzie is questionable entering the game as well.

The Buckeyes also announced that Nolan Baudo, Timothy Caffey, Kyion Grayes, Zak Herbstreit, Joe Royer, Will Smith, Reis Stocksdale, Kourt Williams II, and Miyan Williams would all miss the contest as well.

For Purdue, star running back Tyrone Tracy is also set to miss the matchup on Saturday. Tracy has 50 Carries for 296 yards and five touchdowns for the Boilermakers this season.

Kickoff between the Boilermakers and Buckeyes is set for 12 p.m. ET on Peacock.
