WATCH: Ohio State Buckeyes Drop Gameday Trailer vs. Purdue
The No. 3 Ohio State Buckeyes will look to remain undefeated on Saturday when they visit the Purdue Boilermakers at Ross-Ade Stadium for a Big Ten. The Buckeyes moved up one spot in the AP Poll after taking down Maryland at home, 37-17.
Ohio State leads the all-time series 40-15-2 after beating the Boilermakers 59-31 in the 2021 season. The two teams didn't play each other last year.
To get fans hyped for Saturday's contest, Ohio State's X account posted a gameday trailer for the matchup.Β Take a look:
Many college football fans remember Ohio State's 49-20 upset loss to Purdue in the 2018 season. This was Urban Meyer and Co.'s only loss of the season, but it still prevented them from making the College Football Playoff.
The Buckeyes will need to avoid something similar if they want to remain undefeated ahead of a crucial upcoming matchup with Penn State on Oct. 21 in Columbus. Anything can happen on Saturday, but it's Ohio State's offensive weapons that have the edge against a Purdue defense that's allowing the second-most points per game in the Big Ten (28) this season.
Ryan Day's unit led by quarterback Kyle McCord is, however, banged up headed into Saturday. Ohio State receivers Marvin Harrison Jr. (ankle) and Emeka Egbuka (knee) continue to not be at 100 percent health, though running back TreVeyon Henderson (foot) is expected to be back after missing the win over Maryland.
Ohio State and Purdue kickoff at 12 p.m. ET on Saturday.
