While Ohio State Buckeyes 2024 quarterback commit Air Noland is playing like a top-10 quarterback in the class at the Elite 11 Finals, wide receiver pledge Jeremiah Smith is doing the same at Overtime's 7-on-7 tournament.

After day 1 of the event that runs Thursday through Sunday, Smith was ranked ninth on On3's top-10 performers list out of hundreds of 2024, 2025 and 2026 recruits to participate in the event in Los Angeles.

"Jeremiah Smith may have had limited production today, but my goodness is he a treat to watch," On3's Cody Bellaire wrote. "His size/speed combination is unmatched out here at the OT7 Finals. His ability to get vertical and separate from defenders downfield combined with his fluidity and crisp route running is rare. Even during warmups you can see just how strong his hands are as he plucks the ball away from his frame. It only takes a few reps to see why he is touted as one of the top pass catchers in the country."

Ohio State 2024 wide receiver targets Jeremiah McClellan and Elijah Moore topped the list at Nos. 1 and 2, respectively.

Bellaire said the McClellan was "borderline unstoppable," catching five touchdowns highlighted by one that was "an absurd one-handed grab in the back corner of the endzone."

"He was fed the football consistently in must-convert situations and was the engine that pushed Cali Power to an undefeated 3-0 record," Bellaire wrote of McClellan. "His body type allows him to play as a slot, Z or X type wide receiver due to his thickness throughout his frame and his plus length. McClellan showed he can win at all levels of the field and that he is more than capable of being a true number one wide receiver no matter where you line him up."

Moore is outside the top-60 wide receivers in the class of 2024, but his size and explosive combination is what put him onto offensive coordinator Brian Hartline's radar and something he flashed Thursday as "undoubtedly" the biggest mismatch on the field. He scored four touchdowns on the day and three in one game.

"One of the most physically imposing players to take the field, Moore showed off his immensely strong hands and the ability to play above the rim," Bellaire wrote. "He turned 50/50 balls into 80/20 balls by climbing up the ladder and plucking the ball out of the air with little to no effort. Moore has some polishing to work on with his game in terms of route running, but when you are talking about pure mismatches? Moore was the definition of one today."
