Ohio State Buckeyes vs. Michigan State Spartans Game Predictions

Here is what the BuckeyesNow staff thinks will happen when the Buckeyes and Spartans meet for a Week 11 contest at Ohio Stadium on Saturday

The Ohio State Buckeyes' game against Michigan State on Saturday marks their second-to-last home game of the season, and the three-week warning until the game against Michigan.

The Buckeyes will need to maintain their focus on the contest at hand, putting the coming allure of Senior Day and “The Game” in order to beat the Spartans.

Here is how the BuckeyesNow staff predicts things will go down when the Buckeyes host the Spartans on November 11.

The Buckeyes are No. 1 in the country and just a couple of weeks away from the game that will decide their fate against Michigan. In other words, this could be a trap game if they are not careful.

However, Ryan Day has this team focused, and they will want to send a message to the College Football Playoff committee this week and bury Michigan State.

I think they do just that.

There's a reason Ohio State is No. 1 in the College Football Playoff rankings. And while a slow start to the season hasn't hurt the Buckeyes, they clearly look vulnerable. Just not against a team that's reeling like the Spartans. Controversy and inexperience have cost Michigan State this season and that trend will continue on Saturday. Don't look for a Spartans winning streak to happen at the expense of Ryan Day & Co.

Harlon Barnett said the Buckeyes were beatable. He might be right. Ohio State could lose before the season's conclusion. It just won't come on Saturday at home.

Michigan State comes to Columbus as the second-worst team in the conference. They've lost four of five Big Ten games, with their only win being a go ahead game-winning touchdown with four minutes left over Nebraska.

The Spartans have held close losses to Maryland and Rutgers, both teams the Buckeyes dominated. Ohio State is not the No. 1 team in the nation for no reason. We may see Devin Brown's comeback or even Lincoln Kienholz taking the field today.

Ohio State is back home for the first time in two weeks, and is no doubt eager to put on a show for their fans in the ‘Shoe. Michigan State has some confidence following their first win since September 9 against the Richmond Spiders, but it won’t amount to much against the Buckeyes.

The Scarlet and Gray dominant the Green and White in most (if not all) measurable statistics. Look to the Buckeyes to dominate the Spartans in a major way on Saturday.
