Buckeyes Recruiting: 2024 No. 2 OT Jordan Seaton to Visit Ohio State
The Ohio State Buckeyes have already had an eventful August on the recruiting trail. and now it seems to be gaining even more traction. The Buckeyes have placed an emphasis at offensive line for the 2024 cycle, and will host four-star offensive tackle Jordan Seaton later this fall. Seaton is the No. 2 offensive tackle in the nation.
Seaton is from the Washington, D.C. IMG Academy, and would join current pledges in four-star commits Ian Moore and Devontae Armstrong, and three-star commits Deontae Armstrong and Marc Nave.
Ohio State has been recruiting Seaton for quite some time, and in fact, offered him back in Sept. 2022. In March, when Seaton narrowed his choices down to 14 schools, the Buckeyes made the cut. Ohio State has stayed hot on his trail since then and now will get an official visit the weekend the Buckeyes host the Maryland Terrapins.
Alongside Ohio State, Seaton will also take an official visit with LSU, Florida, Oklahoma, Oregon and South Carolina. He will also take an unofficial visit with Alabama. Seaton’s recruitment is still wide open and Ohio State has to like that they are one of the schools that will have the chance to host him on an official visit.
The Buckeyes are still heavily recruiting five-star offensive tackle Brandon Baker from Santa Ana (CA) Mater Dei. Baker is the No. 1 offensive tackle in the 2024 class and is also considering Texas, Oregon, Nebraska, and others. However, Texas appears to have a slight edge over the Buckeyes right now.
Seaton is the No. 1 interior offensive lineman in the 2024 cycle and the No. 39 overall prospect. He is the No. 6 recruit from the District of Columbia. Baker is the No. 21 overall prospect and the No. 2 recruit from California.
