The Ohio State Buckeyes will hold two open practices in August that will be open to the public, making 500 tickets available for each session.

These open practices have initiated some concern among some Bucks fans that Michigan Wolverines head coach Jim Harbaugh might have some nefarious designs on sending spies to these practices.

This, of course, is a valid concern, and there's a precedent at play here, and it goes back to the Bo Schembechler days for TTUN. During a Michigan practice, a person was spotted in a nearby house watching the team. Schembechler called the police to investigate what the team considered to be someone spying on their practice.

Why the paranoia? Because the game between the Buckeyes and Wolverines in 2023 is crucial not just for the Big Ten title, but most likely for the landscape of the College Football Playoff. Harbaugh and TTUN have won the last two games over Day and Ohio State, and that doesn't sit well with Buckeyes fans. It even has some questioning if Day is the right man for the job.

But knowing the practices are open and there's the possibility that someone other than genuine Buckeyes fans might be in attendance, Day isn't likely to showcase anything crucial to the team on those two days.

As of 2022, Michigan holds a slight edge over the Buckeyes with a 60-52-6 all-time advantage, and Day is ready to break the two-game winning streak the Wolverines currently hold over Ohio State.
