WEEK 11 PREVIEW: No. 1 Ohio State Buckeyes vs. Michigan State Spartans
The No. 1 Ohio State Buckeyes are back at home after two weeks on the road, hosting the Michigan State Spartans on Saturday, November 11.
The Buckeyes enter this weekend's game with the Spartans boasting a perfect, 9-0 record with notable wins against the then-No. 9 Notre Dame Fighting Irish and No. 7 Penn State Nittany Lions.
Michigan State, on the other hand, has had a rough go of things this season. The Spartans prevailed in their first two games of the season against the Central Michigan Chippewas and Richmond Spiders, but dropped their next six after that.
Similar to Ohio State's schedule, Michigan State will have faced three, top-ten opponents before the end of the regular season: the then-No. 8 Washington Huskies, the No. 2 Michigan Wolverines and the No. 1 Buckeyes. However, unlike their coming opponent, the Spartans are 0-2 after their contests with the Huskies and Wolverines.
Ohio State carries a seven-game winning streak against the Spartans into Saturday, with an all-time record of 36-15. The Buckeyes were victorious in last year's meeting at Spartan Stadium (49-20), while the Spartans' last triumph in the series came on November 21, 2015 (17-14).
The Buckeyes and Spartans meet in primetime (7:30 p.m.) on Saturday, November 11 inside Ohio Stadium, with live coverage airing on NBC.
