Report: Ohio State, Texas A&M to Host Home-and-Home Over Next Two Seasons

The Ohio State Buckeyes and Texas A&M Aggies are reportedly going to host a home-and-home starting in 2023-24.

Ohio State Buckeyes head coach Chris Holtmann has said in the past how he's a fan of tough nonconference scheduling with games on campus, and he is looking to stick to his word for the next two seasons.

The Buckeyes and Texas A&M Aggies are reportedly going to host the first of a home-and-home series Nov. 10 in Columbus, according to CBS Sports' Jon Rothstein. Ohio State will travel to College Station, TX. for the return game in 2024-25.

This is the second nonconference announcement for Ohio State basketball in the last five days, as it was announced Wednesday that the Buckeyes and West Virginia Mountaineers would meet in Cleveland at a to-be-determined venue Dec. 30.

Throughout last season, Holtmann continued to apologize to fans for not having a good nonconference opponent at the Schottenstein Center as arguably the best non-Big Ten team the Buckeyes played was Robert Morris, but the Aggies present a challenge not seen in Columbus since Ohio State's upset of the then-No. 1 Duke Blue Devils Nov. 30, 2021.

Head coach Buzz Williams is coming off his best season in College Station in his four-year tenure, leading the Aggies to a 15-3 record in SEC play last season and their first NCAA Tournament berth since 2017-18.

Ohio State has won its last two true home games against Power Six opponents, defeating Villanova in 2019.

The Buckeyes are 1-2 all-time against the Aggies.
