LIVE UPDATES: Ole Miss Hosts Texas A&M in 2024 Season Finale
OXFORD, Miss. -- The Ole Miss Rebels will close out their 2023-24 regular season slate when they host the Texas A&M Aggies in the Sandy and John Black Pavilion on Saturday afternoon. It will be a special season finale, as it is also Ole Miss Senior Day. The Rebels will be honoring their graduating seniors before the game.
The Rebels are coming off a midweek road loss to the Georgia Bulldogs that Ole Miss likely would have won had its leading scorer, Matthew Murrell, made it through the opening minutes of the game. Murrell exited the game early due to an illness, but will be ready to go for his final home game as a Rebel on Saturday. Murrell leads Ole Miss in scoring with 16.5 points per game.
Ole Miss will likely not be participating in the 2024 NCAA Tournament, but finishing the season with a home win is all Chris Beard is worried about right now, and called for a strong crowd on Thursday to help send off his seniors.

FIRST HALF
1H U16 -- Ole Miss won the opening tip, but the Aggies got on the board first thanks to a personal foul on Allen Flanigan. The Rebels are off to a poor start, as they currently trail Texas A&M 14-0 at the first media timeout of the afternoon.

A quick 7-0 scoring run from Ole Miss has cut down A&M's lead, but the Rebels will need to produce a few more of those if they want to get in control of this game.
