Ex-Ole Miss Receiver AJ Brown Gives Thanks to Alma Mater Ahead of Super Bowl LVII
GLENDALE, Ariz. -- Super Bowl media week has come and gone, and it is nearly time for the Philadelphia Eagles and Kansas City Chiefs to battle for the Lombardi Trophy.
Eagles receiver AJ Brown is the only former Ole Miss Rebel taking the field on Sunday and had a special message for his alma mater during Super Bowl media week.
Ole Miss football recently posted a video on Twitter of Brown expressing how much his university means to him.
"[Ole Miss] means everything man," Brown told reporters. "You know, I bleed red and blue. [Oxford] is always home. I'm definitely trying to finish the job. I know that my Ole Miss family is proud of me, that place will forever have a big place in my heart... I'd like to say thank you to Ole Miss, and to the people that helped me get here when I was [in Oxford]."
Brown finished his career at Ole Miss as the program's all-time leader in receiving yards with 2,984. The former Rebel has had a career year in his first season with the Eagles hauling in 95 receptions, 1,546 receiving yards, and 11 touchdowns this season.
