Welcome to the Morning Report, a piece from The Grove Report that highlights the news from the day surrounding the Ole Miss Rebels.

Today is June 19, 2023, and here's the news you need to know out of Oxford.

1. Ole Miss secured another football commitment on Sunday in the form of safety Travaris Banks.

Banks made his announcement on social media, and it caps off a strong weekend of recruiting for Lane Kiffin and company. You can read more about his skillset and decision here.

Can it be pulled off? With the right amount of dedication, probably so. Beard would like to see his team play a game in the Rebels' former arena.

3. Former Ole Miss commit Chris Davis has pledged to a PAC-12 school.

Davis, an in-state running back previously committed to the Rebels, pledged to Stanford on Sunday. You can read more here.

4. Can Ole Miss' recruiting momentum continue? One recruiting database has the Rebels as the favorite to land a four-star safety out of Alabama.

Will Damian Thompson eventually pledge to the Rebels? On3's projections make it seem like a real possibility. We wrote about the potential on Sunday.

5. Preseason preview of the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets begins on Monday.
