Ole Miss 2024 SEC Opponents Revealed, Dates TBA
The Ole Miss Rebels found out their Southeastern Conference home and road opponents for the 2024 season Wednesday on SEC Network.
Ole Miss will play Oklahoma, Kentucky, Mississippi State and Georgia at Vaught-Hemingway Stadium. Meanwhile, the Rebels will travel to LSU, Arkansas, Florida and South Carolina for its road games in 2024.
The dates, times and TV channels of Ole Miss' home and road 2024 SEC opponents will be announced at a later date.
It was previously announced that the Rebels' non-conference slate will feature home matchups against Furman Aug. 31, 2024, Middle Tennessee State Sept. 7, 2024, and Georgia Southern Sept. 21, 2024. Ole Miss' lone road non-conference game will be against Wake Forest Sept. 14, 2024, fulfilling the SEC's minimum of at least one Power Five non-conference game requirement starting after next season.
With Texas and Oklahoma joining the SEC after next season, the league will eliminate divisions for the 2024 season.
ESPN's Peter Burns reported the morning of Wednesday's schedule reveal that each SEC team will play either the Longhorns or Sooners in 2024, and for the Rebels, they'll be squaring off against the latter for the second time in program history. The Rebels are 1-0 all-time against the Oklahoma, winning the 1997 Independence Bowl 27-25.
The 2024 season will also be the first year of the 12-team College Football Playoff, which could bode well for the 16-team SEC.
