OXFORD, Miss. -- The No. 13 Ole Miss Rebels begin the second half of their 2023 regular season on Saturday when they travel to take on the Auburn Tigers with hopes of winning their third-straight matchup within the Southeastern Conference.

The Rebels' next matchup is a home game versus the Vanderbilt Commodores on Oct. 28, and the SEC announced the start time for the final chapter of the illustrious "Khaki Bowl" on Monday via social media.

Ole Miss will be playing in its fourth-straight evening game this season, as the Rebels will kickoff against Vanderbilt at 6:30 p.m. CT in Vaught-Hemingway Stadium, and the matchup will be televised on SEC Network.

Due to conference expansion, the annual "rivalry" game between Ole Miss and Vanderbilt is set to go the way of the dinosaur in 2024. The Rebels and Commodores have been battling since 1894, and Ole Miss leads the series all-time with a record of 40-39-2. The Commodores last beat the Rebels in 2018 in a 36-29 overtime battle.

Vanderbilt is 2-6 (0-4 in SEC) entering its bye in Week 8. The Commodores hosted the No. 1 Georgia Bulldogs last Saturday and lost 37-20. Vanderbilt's lone victories this season came in Week 1 and 2 versus the Hawaii Rainbow Warriors and Alabama A&M Bulldogs, respectively.

The matchup versus Vanderbilt this season appears to be a sure-fire win for the Rebels, but as mentioned above, Ole Miss must first face Auburn on the road. Kickoff between Ole Miss and Auburn is set for 6 p.m. CT Saturday on ESPN.
