Rivals Ranks Quarterbacks at First Day of Elite 11 Finals, Including Ole Miss Rebels Commit Demond Williams
Ole Miss Rebels quarterback commit Demond Williams is participating in the Elite 11 Finals this week in California, and he has already turned some heads with his performance.
Rivals ranked the quarterbacks at the event following the first workout, and Williams made the list and garnered some praise from the publication. You can read what they had to say about the prospect below.
"As he has dealt with for most of his quarterbacking life to this point, the initial reaction many had to seeing the Ole Miss commitment was more about his relatively small stature before he even spun a single football. Also true of his reputation and Friday night production, however, Williams' game quickly changed the conversation to praise for his quick release and consistency in the more difficult scenarios. Few move with the fluidity he does at the position, allowing for a strong showing regardless of ask from the coaching staff."
Williams participated in Elite 11 Oxford earlier this summer, and although he did not immediately earn an invite to the finals, he was able to secure that spot later down the road. Following his performance in Oxford, the quarterback discussed his relationship with Ole Miss coaches.
"Definitely on a great footing with them," Williams said. "Always in contact."
As of now, Williams plans for his official visit to Ole Miss to come during LSU weekend this season. That game is slated for Sept. 30 in Oxford.
