Oregon Ducks cornerback Avante Dickerson has entered the transfer portal, he announced on Wednesday.

"First off I would like to start off by saying thank you to the University of Oregon and one of a kind fan base for the past 2 years," Dickerson wrote on social media. "I would like to say to say a special thank you to Cheif and the athletic trainers for always supporting me and giving me the opportunity to get better. With that being said, I am entering the transfer portal with 3 years of eligibility."

Dickerson is the third Oregon player to enter the transfer portal on Wednesday, joining outside linebacker Anthony Jones and linebacker Harrison Taggart. During his two years with the Ducks he played in 12 games, logging five total tackles and utilizing a redshirt in 2022.

He signed with the Ducks as a four-star (0.9442 per 247Sports Composite) recruit out of Omaha (Neb.) Westside High School in the 2021 class. With his departure, just seven of the 23 signees from the 2021 recruiting class still remain at Oregon.

The Ducks added a number cornerbacks this offseason to help navigate the loss of Christian Gonzalez. Alabama transfer Khyree Jackson is the most notable, as he adds experience to a relatively young room.

Demetrice Martin also signed Daylen Austin, Rodrick Pleasant, Cole Martin, Solomon Davis and Collin Gill from the high school ranks in the 2023 class.
