Oregon Ducks redshirt freshman safety Trejon Williams has left the program and is no longer listed on the 2023 spring football roster.

The 5-foot-11, 187-pound defensive back did not see any game action as a true freshman in 2022 and utilized a redshirt.

Williams is the fourth Oregon player to depart this spring after linebacker Keith Brown, defensive tackle Treven Ma'ae and cornerback Jalil Tucker all entered the transfer portal this past weekend.

His departure leaves the Ducks with seven scholarship safeties on the roster. Steve Stephens IV and Bryan Addison return as the veterans of the group, while Jamal Hill is working with the linebackers during spring practice after adding nearly 15 pounds this offseason.

Oregon welcomed two high school safety signees from the 2023 recruiting class to campus this spring in Tyler Turner and Kodi DeCambra. The team also added a pair of safeties from the transfer portal in Tysheem Johnson from Ole Miss and Evan Williams from Fresno State.

Williams signed with Oregon as a four-star (0.8964) recruit in the 2022 recruiting class. He was also an in-state product, playing his high school football at Portland (Ore.) Jefferson while also playing basketball.

Williams was selected to the Adidas All-American Bowl and the Polynesian Bowl as a senior. He's the second player from Oregon's 2022 recruiting class to leave the program after just one season, joining cornerback Jalil Tucker.
