2024 Oregon Linebacker Target Sets Recruitment Deadline
Oregon Football has had an active month on the recruiting trail. Dan Lanning and his coaching staff landed three commitments in the form of safety Kingston Lopa, wide receiver Jack Ressler and offensive lineman Devin Brooks.
Now the staff is looking to fill more holes in this class, and linebacker is a priority position of need.
2024 Valley Village (Calif.) Campbell Hall linebacker Kamar Mothudi is one of their top options, and now he's set a recruitment deadline.
The four-star linebacker told Ducks Digest that he plans to make his college commitment on July 10.
The 6-foot-3, 230-pound linebacker was on campus in Eugene over the weekend for his final official visit to Oregon and the Ducks continue to be the team to beat.
Mothudi is working from a top five of Oregon, Michigan State, Utah, Washington and Texas.
He also made it out to Eugene for the Oregon spring football game and spoke highly of his relationship with head coach Dan Lanning following the trip.
"I think our relationship is great. When I was out there he made it clear how much of a priority I was for them," he told Ducks Digest. "He was sitting with me at dinner. He was with me at the photoshoot."
Oregon has yet to land a linebacker in the 2024 recruiting class, but they have a small group they're focusing on. That group includes Mothudi, along with Justin Williams (TX), Dylan Williams (CA) and Brayden Platt (WA). All four of those players made it out to Eugene for official visits this month.
I've had my pick on Mothudi to Oregon since March and I remain confident he will end up a Duck.
