2026 St. John Bosco WR Madden Williams Talks Oregon Offer

Junior Adams offered a trio of Bosco wide receivers earlier this week and Williams is player you need to know in talent-rich Southern California.

The Oregon coaching staff has been all over the country this week in the thick of the spring evaluation period.

A key part of that process is getting eyes on recruits in person and if they check the right boxes, extending scholarship offers. One rising player that received an offer from Oregon this week is 2026 Bellflower (Calif.) St. John Bosco wide receiver Madden Williams.

Junior Adams also offered Williams' teammates Daniel Odom (2026) and Kamryn Jones (2025). Williams relived the moment the Ducks pulled the trigger.

"He was talking to us and then he said 'I want to offer all three of you guys in the trio.' It was so real and I was just listening to him talk for the rest of the time," he told Ducks Digest. "It was just amazing. Hearing the wise words that were coming out of such an amazing coach. I've been dreaming of the days like these."

Williams is very familiar with the Ducks having toured the football facilities and campus. He spoke on what catches his eye when it comes to Oregon.

"I would just say how they push their players and the coaching that they give. Very high tempo and they show a lot of love."

His connections to Oregon run deep whether it's current players or coaches on the staff, including one who used to coach at St. John Bosco, Colin Lockett.

"Coach (Junior) Adams, Coach (Colin) Lockett. We actually have a coach here at Bosco, coach Jimmy Adams he went to Oregon. Matayo Uigalalelei, Kris Hutson. A couple guys that I got connections with that go to Oregon are with them right now."

Oregon wasn't the only new offer for the 6-foot-2, 180-pound pass catcher following Wednesday's showcase. Notre Dame, Texas, Washington, Cal, Colorado State and San Diego State all hopped in the boat as well.

St. John Bosco is run like a college program, so attention from national programs is fairly common. Even so, Williams is grateful for the exposure he's gotten at such an early stage in his football career.

"It's great because I just love the school that I'm at and how they're pushing me out to these colleges. All of the players that we've had come through Bosco have all gone to college. I love how my coaches are preparing me for that and getting me started early is a great sign."

Now he's hoping more schools will start to take notice and it looks like the showcase did just that.

"I'm taking the steady rise. Yesterday was definitely a big jump and put me I would say on the map and on notice."

A couple of schools are in line to get a visit from the wide receiver as we look toward the summer.

"I know for sure I should be going up to probably Oregon and Washington," he said. "I think I'm going up to Ohio State too. I'd like to go see Michigan, maybe Florida, Texas."

The buzz is starting to pick up for Williams, who filled fans and coaches in on what they need to know about what he brings to the table.

"I'm a hard worker. I'm gonna put in the grind and effort every day. I feel like I have a very high IQ and I feel like I'm a team player. I'm not all about me and my attitude. I can get the job done."
