2024 Forney (Tex.) High School safety Aaron Flowers has placed the Oregon Ducks in his top ten schools.

He announced his updated finalists over social media on Tuesday.

The Ducks made the cut along with the likes of Alabama, Oklahoma, Tennesse and USC among others as the Texas defensive back whittled his 27 reported scholarship offers down to 10.

Flowers stands at 6'1" and weighs 185 pounds and landed an offer from new safeties coach Chris Hampton on January 17. He's rated a four-star prospect according to the 247Sports Composite.

Oregon has recruited the state of Texas heavily in recent years but things got ramped back up in the 2023 class.

The Ducks signed six prospects from Texas headlined by quarterback Austin Novosad (Dripping Springs) and defensive lineman Johnny Bowens (Converse Judson). They were also able to sign San Antonio defensive back Tyler Turner, who has already enrolled early at the University of Oregon after practicing with the team in the days leading up the Holiday Bowl against North Carolina.

Matt Powledge, Oregon's safeties coach in 2022, was a central part of the team's recruiting efforts in Texas and has rejoined the Baylor staff this offseason. However, names like Will Stein, Tyler Dean and new offensive analyst Antonio Parks should help the Ducks maintain a strong presence in Texas as they continue their push east on the recruiting trail.

The Ducks have yet to land a safety in the 2024 recruiting class, which currently ranks eighth nationally, however Chris Hampton was able to land a commitment from former Ole Miss safety Tysheem Johnson shortly after being hired.
