Commitment Preview: QB Air Noland Ready to Announce Decision
Quarterbacks continue to come off the board here in the 2024 recruiting class, with big names like Jadyn Davis (Michigan) and Jake Merklinger (Tennessee) the latest to announce their respective commitments last week.
Air Noland is the next talented quarterback set to come off the board, with a decision scheduled for Saturday April 8. The Fairburn (GA) Langston Hughes passer has the Oregon Ducks among his top seven schools heading into his commitment.
Noland landed an offer from Will Stein and the Ducks in March as Oregon's new offensive coordinator navigates the 2024 quarterback pool looking for his guy. Alabama, Arkansas, Clemson, Miami, Ohio State and Texas A&M round out his finalists.
Standing at 6'3" and weighing 195 pounds, Noland is rated a four-star (0.9569) recruit by the 247Sports Composite and is ranked the No. 84 player nationally, the No. 8 quarterback and the No. 12 recruit in Georgia.
The left-handed quarterback has been very active on the recruiting trail of late, taking visits to Alabama, Ohio State, Texas A&M, Miami, Arkansas and Clemson in the last month or so.

Ohio State seems like the biggest school to watch right now. He took a trip to Columbus in late March and left with an offer from the Buckeyes.
It's also worth noting that Ohio State is tearing up the recruiting trail of late, landing commitments from elite running back James Peoples (Texas) and Mylan Graham (Indiana). What quarterback wouldn't want to play with the embarrassment of skill talent in Ryan Day's class?
As for Oregon, Noland looks like he'll make his commitment without visiting the Ducks, which leads me to believe there isn't a very good chance he puts on a green and yellow hat when the time comes.
But it's probably not all bad news for the Ducks, as they picked up a new prediction to land 2024 quarterback Luke Moga earlier this week, and he's scheduled to visit Oregon on April 22.
Noland will announce his college commitment on Saturday April 8 at 8:45 pm ET on the 247Sports YouTube channel.
