Kamar Mothudi Headed to Eugene for Oregon Spring Game

Kamar Mothudi is a major linebacker target for the Ducks and raved about his first trip to Eugene in March.

Linebacker recruiting looks like it could be heating up for Oregon Football.

After four-star Long Beach (Calif.) Poly linebacker Dylan Williams placed Oregon in his top schools, another priority target in the 2024 recruiting has plans to make it back to Eugene.

Valley Village (Calif.) Campbell Hall linebacker Kamar Mothudi will take another trip out to Oregon for the Ducks' spring game on April 29.

"Oregon's spring game on the 29th. I'll be back up there," he told Ducks Digest at the Under Armour Next Camp in Mission Viejo on Sunday.

Mothudi landed an offer from the Ducks in January and took his first trip to Eugene last month. So why was he so quick to lock in a return visit?

"I loved it up there. I loved the energy," he said. "I loved being around the coaches and everything. Getting to see them, not a full-on game but a spring game how the players play against each other is something I'm looking forward to seeing."

The Ducks look like they're checking a lot of boxes for the 6-foot-3, 220-pound linebacker, who especially appreciates how Oregon has handled his recruitment and loves what he's hearing.

"I kind of love everything they told me," Mothudi said. "They're not pressuring, they're not trying to rush me. They're showing everything they have to offer. They're showing me where I would fit. They make it clear I'm a priority but they're also giving me space and letting me make my decision when I want to which I love."

Other than his upcoming trip to Oregon, Mothudi headed to Seattle on Sunday to check out Washington during spring practice.

"I went up there for their junior day. But you know Junior Day, a bunch of recruits. I want to get back up there, little more personalized, take things slow I get to see everything.

"To see things that are suited for me. I'm mainly looking out for--cause I get to see their practices this time, kind of seeing how the coaches and the players interact. How Coach (William) Inge and all the other coaches how they teach things, kind of like their vibe at practice what's their energy."

Kalen DeBoer's success in his first year with the Huskies is part of why they're standing out.

"Just how successful they are with a younger coaching staff coming from Fresno," Mothudi said about Washington. "How well they did in the Pac-12. They develop their guys as well."

He hasn't locked in any official visits but Oregon will be one of those trips.

"I'm thinking I'm gonna book it towards the end of the summer," he said of his Oregon official visit.

Mothudi is hearing from Oregon on a daily basis and mentioned a couple other schools on him the hardest.

"Nebraska, I'm hearing from Nebraska a lot. Utah as well. Cal and Arizona."

His most recent trip to Oregon changed his timeline for a commitment.

"Right now it's looking like end of summer. Week one, beginning of the season, kind of early."

I placed a prediction for Mothudi to end up at Oregon on March 22.
