Lopa is listed at 6'5", 190 pounds and holds 18 reported scholarship offers. He's rated a four-star (0.8977) recruit by the 247Sports Composite. The same system ranks him the No. 359 player nationally, the No. 33 safety and the No. 29 recruit in California.

He previously committed to the Arizona Wildcats on January 23, 2023 but chose to reopen his recruitment on April 5. The Northern California product took an unofficial visit to Tennesse between decommitting from the Wildcats and finding his new landing spot in Eugene.

Lopa is the second safety to commit to Dan Lanning and the Ducks in the 2024 class, joining Forney (Tex.) Adidas All-American Aaron Flowers in the defensive backfield. The secondary is filling out for the Ducks this cycle, as they also hold a verbal commitment from Under Armour All-American Baltimore (Md.) St. Frances Academy cornerback Ify Obidegwu, who committed in May.

Oregon is hosting a number of priority recruiting targets for official visits this weekend, including five-star Conroe (Tex.) Oak Ridge linebacker Justin Williams and four-star Santa Ana (Calif.) Mater Dei running back Nate Frazier.

Next weekend is expected to be the biggest recruiting weekend of the month for Oregon, as they'll host a bulk of their priority targets and a number of high-profile commits like quarterback Michael Van Buren.

It's been an eventful Sunday for the Ducks, as they lost a commitment from 2024 wide receiver Tyseer Denmark.
