Q: Why did you decide to take a trip to Oregon?

Gilmore: "It's just a school I've always been interested in and when I got the opportunity it was just something I was not going to pass up."

Q: What were some of the highlights of your Oregon visit?

Gilmore: "Really getting to meet the coaches and create a relationship with the coaches is something that I was really looking forward to going into it. And getting to see the facilities first hand and watch the practice."

Q: What stood out from watching the practice? How would you describe it?

Gilmore: "It was pretty fast tempo, it was a good tempo. I liked how they really didn't waste any time at all just dilly dallying. And it was good watching the practice to just see how the coaches really interact with players."

Q: Who would you say you spent most of your time with?

Gilmore: "I spent a lot of time with Tuioti."

Q: What was it like getting to know him and continue building that relationship? Is he your lead recruiter?

Gilmore: "Yeah I'd say so. I love how he's really based on faith and family and that's something that are some of my core values."

Q: Where does Oregon see you playing?

Gilmore: "Pretty much on the edge, depending on how I develop--they could see me playing anywhere on the line."

Q: What was your favorite part of the visit?

Gilmore: "Honestly kind of just getting to meet the coaches and the practice was really fun to go to and watch."

Q: What kind of impression did Oregon leave on the visit?

Gilmore: "They definitely impressed. It's a school that I definitely think I want to get back to."

Q: What was the message Oregon sent you during your visit?

Gilmore: "One of the main things that they were really talking about is the fact that they have so many great defensive minds for my position. With Coach Lanning being the defensive coordinator at Georgia and having a couple of ex-NFL coaches as an edge coach. So that's four coaches really at my position that know what they're doing."

Q: How do you react to that? What does it mean to you?

Gilmore: "I think that's really special because I feel like most places don't really have that much attention towards the D-line."

Q: What future visits do you have planned?

Gilmore: "Right now throughout the next weekend I'm going to be going to Missouri and Oklahoma."

Q: Do you think you'll make a return trip to Eugene?

Gilmore: "I think I probably will be yeah."

Q: Do you have any idea of when you would like to take your officials? Any updates there?

Gilmore: "I think throughout the spring and August I'm going to take most of them and I think I'll probably try and commit by and set a date somewhere around the end of summer."

Q: What schools are you hearing from the most right now?

Gilmore: "Minnesota, Oregon, Miami, Missouri, Oklahoma's hitting me up a lot. Iowa, Kansas State, Kansas and Purdue and Wisconsin."

Q: What's the most important factor in your recruitment?

Gilmore: "I think honestly one of the most important things is probably just a really good reputation for developing players and knowing that if I go there I'll have a really good chance to pursue my end goal which is playing in the NFL and succeeding there."
