Terry Bussey, Nation's No. 1 Athlete, Places Oregon Among Top Schools

The Ducks are in the running for a top playmaker out of the Lone Star State.
In this story:

2024 Timpson (Tex.) wide receiver Terry Bussey has placed the Oregon Ducks in his top schools. He announced his updated group of finalists on social media.

Oregon finds themselves in the company of Texas, Florida, TCU, Oklahoma and Alabama among others in Bussey's loaded top-10.

The 5-foot-10, 180-pound offensive weapon is rated a five-star (0.9800) by 247Sports. He's rated the No. 17 player nationally, the No. 1 athlete and the No. 4 recruit in the state of Texas.

He has 30 reported scholarship offers and if visits are any indication of where he's headed he's visited Alabama, Texas and Texas A&M in April.

As a junior Bussey accounted for more that 4,500 yards of total offense. He threw for 2,177 yards and rushed for 2,596 yards en route to putting up 72 total touchdowns. If that wasn't enough to get your attention he also racked up 115 tackles and had five interceptions, four of which were returned for touchdowns (according to MaxPreps).

On the surface it looks like the Ducks are recruiting him as a wide receiver, of which they already have two in the 2024 class in Jordan Anderson and Tyseer Denmark.

It doesn't look like Bussey has visited Oregon before, but the coaching staff has extensive ties in Texas and a visit would further legitimize Oregon's chances in this one.
