PITTSBURGH -- The Pitt Panthers are back on the NCAA Tournament bubble after winning six of their last seven and knocking off No. 21 Virginia on the road and could be closer to making the field than some might think.

CBS Sports' Jerry Palm has the Panthers as one of his "Next Four Out" alongside Kansas State, Seton Hall and Cincinnati, in the latest Bracketology Bubble Watch predictions he released this week.

Palm has the Panthers and the rest of the Next Four Out chasing Gonzaga, Memphis, Oregon and Wake Forest - the First Four Out - and Utah, Nebraska, Ole Miss and Colorado - the Last Four In.

Pitt has the marquee wins in victories over Duke and Virginia on the road and now the task becomes stacking wins before the start of the ACC Tournament in Washington, D.C. during the second week of March.

The Panthers have two more chances to pick up major wins when they travel to Wake Forest and Clemson to during the home stretch of the regular season. They'll also face Louisville, Virginia Tech, Florida State and North Carolina State at home while making another road trip to Boston College at the beginning of March.
