Pitt Basketball Takes Significant Leap in Recruiting Rankings After Dior Johnson Commit
The Pitt Panthers landed their highest-ranked commit under head coach Jeff Capel when Dior Johnson announced he's headed to Oakland. With the commitment, the Panthers took a significant jump in recruiting rankings on 247Sports.
Pitt moved from 119th to 58th following Johnson's commitment.
Johnson is the fourth-highest rated recruit in program history and by far the best of Capel's tenure, according to 247Sports. He trails only Steven Adams, Dante Taylor and DeJuan Blair.
Johnson becomes the seventh commitment this spring, including three transfers.
