PITTSBURGH -- The Pitt Panthers could have a special talent in their hands this year, one that might even be able to consider leaving school early to pursue a career in the NBA.

On3's Jamie Shaw released a list of the top five pro prospects in the ACC and Pitt freshman Bub Carrington checked in at No. 5 in his rankings, behind only Duke's Kyle Filipowski, Miami's Wooga Poplar, another Blue Devil Tyrese Proctor and Virginia's Ryan Dunn.

"Carrington, who still needs to continue adding strength, plays with an excellent pace and high IQ," Shaw wrote. "He also has optimal size and length for the position. It will be interesting if he is able to continue at this rate. Florida is up next, on Wednesday, that game could go a long way in setting Carrington’s path moving forward. With the physical tools, shooting, and IQ Carrington has a lot of natural traits in place to continue moving up this list."

Carrington is averaging 18 points, 5.5 rebounds and 6.3 assists to just 1.3 turnovers so far in his collegiate career, which is just four games old at this point.

Sophomore Guillermo Diaz Graham and senior Blake Hinson were both tabbed as "Other Players to Watch"

Hinson tested the NBA Draft waters while retaining his eligibility after leading the Panthers in scoring and rebounding a year ago on the way to Second-Team All-ACC honors. He leads Pitt in scoring this year as well with 20.5 points per game, which also ranks fourth in the ACC. Hinson's grabbed 5.8 rebounds per game and is making 39.4% of his 3-point attempts.

Used primarily in a reserve role during his freshman season, Diaz Graham saw an increasingly bigger role in the postseason as Federiko Federiko managed a knee injury. After adding 20 pounds to his wiry frame, the skilled seven-footer is averaging 10.5 points, 5.8 rebounds and a block per game while shooting 44.4% from 3-point distance.
