PITTSBURGH -- Former Pitt Panthers guard Jamarius is first off an All-ACC campaign in which he led the program back to the NCAA Tournament for the first time in seven years and during that run, NBA teams took notice.

Now Burton is on a tour of professional basketball, making stops for pre-draft workouts with four different teams. He already had the Los Angeles Lakers and Memphis Grizzlies on his schedule, but now the Atlanta Hawks and Boston Celtics are also involved, according to a report from Lauren Williams of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

Burton, a transfer from Texas Tech and Wichita State who spent two seasons at Pitt, averaged 12.4 points, 3.5 rebounds and 2.5 assists per game on 40% shooting from the field over 34 minutes per game during the 2021-22 season before making a massive leap in his final season of college basketball.

In 2022-23, Burton averaged 15.2 points, 4.2 assists and 4.8 rebounds per night while shooting 48.8% from the floor on the way to First-Team All-ACC honors.

While Burton might be a longshot to get selected at all in the limited 60 picks of the NBA Draft, the Celtics own pick No. 35 and the Hawks own picks No. 15 and 46.
