Nichols is a top-20 player in the state of Ohio, ranked as high as the No. 7 player in the state by On3, who also ranked him the No. 24 cornerback in the class and No. 187 overall player in the class.

He holds offers from Michigan, Pitt, Penn State, Kentucky, Notre Dame, Tennessee, Cincinnati, Louisville, Wisconsin, Michigan State, Purdue, Ole Miss, Minnesota, Georgia Tech, Virginia Tech, Rutgers, Duke, Missouri, Vanderbilt, Syracuse, Illinois, West Virginia, Boston College and others.

Nichols plans to visit Penn State and Michigan over the next two weeks and is expected to add more official visits for later this summer.
