Pittsburgh Native Nelly Cummings Commits to Pitt
PITTSBURGH -- Colgate star Nelly Cummings has officially announced his commitment to Pitt for his final year of eligibility. The Lincoln Park grad posted his decision on social media with the caption "I’m Backkk."
The 6-foot point guard started his college career at Bowling Green State but transferred to Colgate. During his three years with Colgate, he scored over 1,000 points and averaged 14.7 point per game this past season.
"I really value my family, and I really wanted them to be a part of this next step I take," Cummings told Pittsburgh Sports Now. "Being that Pitt is home, it was hard for me not to be really excited about the pitch."
Pitt now has six open scholarships available.
