PITTSBURGH -- Ahead of his impending visit to the Steel City, Niagra transfer Noah Thomasson included the Pitt Panthers in his list of top five schools that are recruiting him.

Thomasson, who is scheduled to spend a couple of days in Pittsburgh two weeks down the road, has Pitt as a finalist alongside Penn State, San Francisco, St. John's and Georgia.

It's clear to see why Thomasson, a 6'3 lefty from Richmond, Texas, is an attractive candidate for Pitt, who lost three deadly three-point shooters and its second-leading scorer to graduation this offseason. He averaged 19.5 points, 3.5 assists and 3.8 rebounds per game while making 38.6% of his 3-point shots and 52.1% of his 2-point shots. He started all 31 games he appeared in for Niagra last season, averaging 36.4 minutes per game on the way to First Team All-MAAC honors.

Thomasson has already visited San Francisco and Georgia and has trips to St. John's and Penn State scheduled as well. He will be immediately eligible as a graduate transfer.
