Former Oregon State TE Commits to Pitt
PITTSBURGH -- The Pitt Panthers grabbed another player from the transfer portal this week, adding a player on the offensive side of the ball this time.
Jake Overman, formerly of Oregon State, announced on Twitter that he would make the move from Beaver to Panther and join Pitt's program in 2024. He's the seventh transfer addition of the recruiting cycle for Pitt.
Overman, a 6'4 redshirt junior from Yorbal Linda, California, has caught eight passes for 70 yards in 24 games over three seasons with the Beavers.
The Panthers lost Malcolm Epps, a graduate transfer by way of Texas and USC, from their 2023 tight ends room as he opted to declare for the NFL Draft. But they'll retain Karter Johnson and Gavin Bartholomew, the top two tight ends on the depth chart, as they head into 2024 looking to get what was a sluggish offensive attack for Pitt during this past season.
