Pat Narduzzi Has Message for Pitt After Loss to Georgia Tech

There's no dividing the Pitt Panthers.

PITTSBURGH -- The Pitt Panthers walked out of Week 5 with a disappointing loss to Georgia Tech, but with plenty of season left, the message remains on the future.

Head coach Pat Narduzzi took the podium following the game and said that no matter what, this team stays together - and that was the message to the locker room after the loss.

"There's no finger-pointing," Narduzzi said. "We didn't win. We lost together. We win together and we lose together. We didn't make enough plays. Defensively, I thought we played a solid game. We held them to four field goals to begin with. Then they scored two late TDs. Put it in position. I don't know what the time of possession was, but it probably wasn't very good. It looks like they add up to 31 minutes. But, hey, got to regroup and start over again. It just wasn't good enough."

Pitt's loss is one of the largest in ACC history as they entered the game as 21.5-point favorites over the Yellow Jackets. They'll now continue conference play against Virginia Tech, fighting from the ground up in ACC play.

Nevertheless, this team is marching forward as one - a message from the coach, and his players.

"We still have to play our best football. We have to come together and play as a team," linebacker and defensive captain SirVocea Dennis said. "And we have to also capitalize on our opportunities. The guys know that. Not just our coaches, our guys know we have to do better. We want to get it done and we will."
