INDIANAPOLIS -- Pitt Panthers defensive tackle Calijah Kancey is off to as hot a start as possible this week at the NFL Combine in Indianapolis, Indiana. Even after weighing in heavier than expected at 281 pounds, he still ran by far the two fastest 40-yard dash times of any defensive lineman at the event.

Kancey ran a 4.78 with his first attempt, which was easily the fastest of any of the players in his position group on his first attempt. He followed that up with a 4.73 run in his second attempt, again far faster than anyone in the group of defensive linemen invited. He was just hundredths of a second behind Aaron Donald's 4.61 40-yard dash time recorded in 2013.

He finished with an official time of 4.67, the fast of the century, tied with Milton Williams.

Already considered one of the better interior linemen in the 2023 draft class, Kancey will no doubt move up draft boards after proving his quickness was more than just the stuff of legend.
