PITTSBURGH -- With just a few days left until the transfer portal officially opens, players around the country have begun to announce their intentions to answer the transfer portal, including a handful of Pitt Panthers.

Reserve safety Stephon Hall, a former three-star recruit from nearby Central Valley in Monaca, Pennsylvania, was the latest Panther to add his name to the transfer portal, announcing on Twitter that he would leave Pitt this winter.

Hall, a redshirt sophomore with two years of eligibility remaining, appeared in 18 games for the Panthers and recorded seven total tackles in those appearances, all coming this past season.

Hall figured to remain buried on a safety depth chart behind Donovan McMillon, P.J. O'Brien and Javon McIntyre - three rising upperclassmen who shared starting duties this past season and left little room for reserves to mix in.

He is the fifth Pitt player to announce that they would transfer this week.
