Pitt DE Deslin Alexandre Suffers Injury vs. West Virginia
PITTSBURGH -- The Pitt Panthers suffered their first injury of the 2022 season as defensive end Deslin Alexandre left the Week 1 game against West Virginia with a right arm injury.
Alexandre went down on a pass play in the second quarter. He hit quarterback J.T. Daniels but remained down on the field in apparent pain. He was able to get up on his own power after being attended to by trainers but walked right into the tunnel. He gave a thumbs up as he walked off.
Pitt will turn to John Morgan to play defensive end without Alexandre. Dayon Hayes will also see an increased snap count without Alexandre on the field.
