PITTSBURGH -- The Pitt Panthers muddled through the lowest season of Pat Narduzzi's tenure as head coach in 2023, posting a 3-9 record that left coaches, players and fans disappointed.

FanDuel Sportsbook believes PItt will improve during the 2024 season but not by much. The Panthers have an early win total line set at just 5.5, tied for the fifth-least in the now-17-team strong ACC.

Boston College (4.5), Virginia (4.5), Wake Forest (4.5) and Stanford (3.5) are the only ACC teams predicted to win fewer games than the Panthers this season.

The Panthers will completely turn over their offensive coaching staff, bringing in an entirely new set of assistants on that side of the ball as they try to improve on an anemic scoring output from a season ago. They'll also have to replace standout defensive line coach Charlie Partridge and wide receivers coach Tiquan Underwood, who both took jobs in the NFL this month.

Last season's poor results combined with some major coaching staff changes have made for some low expectations heading into 2024 for Pitt.
