PITTSBURGH -- He might not have left the Pitt Panthers on the best of terms, but he is still one of the best wide receivers to have ever worn the blue and gold and now he is a Viking after being selected in the first round by Minnesota with the 23rd overall pick.

That makes it two former Panthers selected in the first round in 2023 after one of Addison's former teammates, defensive tackle Calijah Kancey Addison brings precise route-running, strong hands and electric playmaking ability to Minnesota, where he figures to create a dangerous tandem with all-world wideout Justin Jefferson.

Addison capped his time with the Panthers with a masterful 2021, Biletnikoff Award-winning campaign in 2021. Combining with Heisman Finalist quarterback Kenny Pickett, he hauled in 100 passes for 1,593 yards and 17 touchdowns. He transfered to USC following his record-breaking season and accounted for 908 total yards and eight total touchdowns with the Trojans.
