Former Pitt Panthers safety Paris Ford was selected in the fourth round by the New Jersey Generals in the 2022 USFL Draft.

Ford played for the Panthers until midway through the 2020 season, went as an undrafted free agent to the Los Angeles Rams. After failing to make the team, he was unsigned elsewhere, spending last season as a free agent.

In 29 games for Pitt, Ford recorded 147 total tackles, six tackles for loss, six interceptions, three forced fumbles and 20 passes defended. He was considered a Day 2 of 3 pick in the 2020 NFL Draft but went undrafted after a poor Pro Day.

All eight teams will play in Birmingham, Alabama this spring. The league is set to kick off in April, with the General opening the season against the Birmingham Stallions.
