PITTSBURGH -- Pittsburgh Panthers head coach Jeff Capel recruited in his own backyard, extending an offer to 6-foot-8 Rocye Parham, an unrated 2024 guard from North Hills High School in Pittsburgh.

The Panthers were Parham's first Division I offer. He also holds offers from a pair of local mid-majors - Robert Morris and Duquesne. He visited with the Dukes and Pitt unofficially in October.

Parham is a long athlete and smooth shooter. He has tremendous size for his position and strong defensive instincts.

Pitt's riding some momentum heading into the summer months. The Panthers have landed some sought-after transfers - former Marquette sharpshooter Greg Elliot being the latest - and a pair of under-the-radar high school prospects.

They currently have three open scholarships for this coming season. The Panthers currently have one commit in the class of 2024 from four-star guard Marlon Barnes.
