PITTSBURGH -- It's becoming a regular occurrence for the Pitt Panthers under head coach Pat Narduzzi - June is when recruiting classes come together. So far, that's proven true for the 2023 class, which garnered six commitments during the first round of official visits two weeks ago and added five more this weekend as another round of official visitors made their way to the Steel City.

Narduzzi fired off five Pat Signals - tweets announcing that a recruit has committed to Pitt - on Saturday morning and that afternoon, Montravius Lloyd, a three-star athlete that played running back and linebacker for Lakewood High School in St. Petersburg, Florida, revealed that he was one of the newest Panthers.

Lloyd rushed for 641 yards and 11 touchdowns during his junior season while also taking some snaps on defense, accounting for 33 tackles and eight sacks for 10-3 Lakeland High. Standing 6-feet tall and weighing 205 pounds, Lloyd projects as a tailback. He held offers from Arizona, Wake Forest, West Virginia and others.

His decision gives the Panthers nine commits in the class of 2023, which sat at 31st in 247Sports' national recruiting rankings prior to his announcement.

Five more Pat Signals - one from Thursday that had no class designation and four more from Saturday with 2023 slogans attached - remain unaccounted for.
