PITTSBURGH -- Another four-star prospect that the Pitt Panthers had made it to the final stages of recruiting has committed elsewhere. After defensive back Koy Beasely chose Purdue earlier this week, defensive lineman Dominic Kirks revealed where he would play his college ball.

Out of a final five of Pitt, Nebraska, Kentucky, Wisconsin and Washington, Kirks decided to ride with the Huskies and announced his verbal pledge on Twitter.

He moved up his Pitt visit a week and walked away impressed by all accounts. Then Kirks canceled an ensuing official visit to Kentucky before rounding out his summer visit schedule.

Kirks, a 6'5 and 250-pound edge defender, is rated as a four-star prospect by On3 and 247Sports. On3 ranks him as high as the No. 11 player in Ohio and the No. 28 defensive lineman nationally in the class of 2024.

The 6'5, 250-pound junior has already been out to Seattle to see Washington twice this spring and summer and visited Ohio State, Cincinnati, Wisconsin and West Virginia earlier this year.
