PITTSBURGH -- The Pitt Panthers are in desperate need of wide receivers after losing five players from that position group to either the transfer portal or the NFL. As a result, every visit for a wideout to Pittsburgh is crucial.

The Panthers welcomed an extra special target this week in four-star wideout Michael Thomas of Donovan Catholic High School in New Jersey, hoping that this 2025 prospect can be one of the players to create a bright future at the position for Pitt.

Thomas is rated as a four-star prospect by 247Sports and ESPN. They both consider him a top-five player in the state of New Jersey and 247Sports ranks him as high as the No. 16 wider receiver in his class and the Nol. 109 player overall in the class of 2025.

Thomas, who visited Penn State this week as well, also holds offers from Rutgers, Maryland, West Virginia, Michigan, Boston College and others, with Syracuse and Temple also showing interest.
