PITTSBURGH -- The Pitt Panthers added five commitments to their 2024 recruiting class this week, with more expected to be on the way as they host another round of official visitors at the UPMC Rooney Sports Complex.

Three of those five - defensive backs Davion Pritchard and Allen Bryant and offensive lineman Mason Lindsay - have already announced their commitments and been officially logged in as members of Pitt's class of 2024. But the addition of Lindsay, who was the latest to announce, did not do much to elevate the profile of the Panthers' class, which took a small slide in national rankings while still maintaining its spot in the top 20.

Following Lindsay's announcement, Pitt checked in at No. 19 in 247Sports' national team class rankings, down one spot from where it was earlier in the week when Bryant and Pritchard announced their commitments. That's still good for fourth in the ACC behind No. 8 Clemson, No. 9 Florida State and No. 12 North Carolina. Wake Forest trails narrowly behind at No. 20.

The Panthers are slightly better off in Rivals' team rankings - down two spots but nonetheless slotted at No. 18 behind the Tigers and Seminoles, who occupy the same spots they do in 247Sports' rankings, the No. 13 Demon Deacons and the No. 16 Tar Heels.

On3 dropped Pitt two spots as well, from No. 37 to No. 39. The Panthers trail No. 36 Virginia Tech, No. 35 Wake Forest, No. 28 North Carolina, No. 26 Miami, No. 22 Louisville, No. 9 Florida State and No. 4 Clemson in their rankings.
