PITTSBURGH -- The Pitt Panthers are a contender for a three-star defensive back out of Virginia, who released a list of his top 10 schools last week.

Cornell Allen, a native of Richmond, Virginia who attends Trinity Episcopal High School, included Pitt in a top 10 schools list alongside Missouri, UConn, Charlotte, Kansas, Indiana, Arizona State, UCF, Eastern Michigan and Cincinnati. He'll still continue to field offers from other schools.

Allen holds one rating from the major recruiting services right now. 247Sports considers him a three-star prospect, the No. 39 player in his home state of Virginia and the No. 120 safety in the class of 2024.

Washington, James Madison, Florida International, Florida Atlantic, Kent State, Marshall, Akron, Army, UAB, Tulsa, Brown, Harvard, Western Michigan and Columbia have all extended offers but did not make the cut this time. Virginia Tech has shown interest but not offered.
