PITTSBURGH -- While the Pitt Panthers get preparing for the 2023 football campaign, they are also looking to build the 2024 recruiting class. The Panthers are set to host a slew of high schoolers during spring practices over the next four weeks.

Headlining the group of prospects headed to Pittsburgh at some point this spring is in-state four-star Tre McLeod, a running back from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. A top-20 player in the state and top-40 running back nationally will be with the Panthers this weekend, he announced on Twitter.

Jackson Gister, a 6'6 2024 tight end from Calvert Hall College in Baltimore, Maryland, will take his visit on the same day as McLeod. He has one offer so far from Charlotte.

Jordan Thomas, an unrated 2024 offensive lineman from St. Lucie West Centennial High School in Florida, will follow soon after. He announced his visit to Pittsburgh will come next week. Pitt is his only Power 5 offer at the moment. His teammate at St. Lucie West Centennial, Dwayne Cheney, a 6'6, 290-pound lineman, will take his visit on the same day. Like Thomas, his only Power 5 offer is from Pitt.

Sticking with the offensive line, Kaelub Edwards, a 2024 tackle from McKinley High School in Canton, Ohio, did not announce a date, but confirmed that he would visit with Pitt at some point this spring. Pitt is the only program to extend an offer to Edwards at this time.

Adham Abouraya, another junior offensive lineman, took his visit to Pitt this week. The three-star prospect from Downingtown East High School in Downingtown, Pennsylvania holds five Division I offers from Pitt, Syracuse, Temple, West Virginia and Rutgers.

Shaker Reisig rounds out the crop of high school prospects that will be in Pittsburgh over the coming days. He'll be in town over the weekend. Reisig is a quarterback in the class of 2025 from Union High School in Oklahoma. He holds offers from Memphis and Tulsa and has visited Oklahoma, Oklahoma State and Iowa State.
