'I'm locked in. I'm ready,' Caleb Williams Pens Final Blog as Oklahoma Career Kicks Off

No. 1 Prospect on SI All-American Begins College Career

Caleb Williams is the top quarterback prospect in the 2021 class with scholarship offers from elite programs coast to coast before committing to Oklahoma on July 4. He has agreed to give Sports Illustrated exclusive access into his world by chronicling everything from his experience as a high profile recruit to his home life and preparation for his college career. This is 'All on the Line.'

Welcome back, guys, to Caleb Williams: All on the Line

This week...I'm not saying goodbye. It's see you later.

It's not the last blog, I'll be back very soon. I don't know exactly when just yet. More on that below:

Going into this week, and I hate to say this, but Tom Brady beat Aaron Rodgers. I have strong opinions about this game but Tom Brady is going to his 10th Super Bowl at age 43. It's kind of amazing. 43 years old, still doing what he loves, and doing it at such a high level. That is amazing and I can only hope that my run is something like this or even better. I tip my hat to Tom Brady for beating Aaron Rodgers because, as you all know of me, I believe Aaron Rodgers is the GOAT.

I don't agree with some calls made late in the game but it's neither here nor there. I tip my hat to Tom Brady for doing what he's been doing for so long and at such a high level year-in, year-out.

Next, I'm finally enrolled at OU. I have my first class Monday, so I can't wait. I got our first team workout coming Wednesday morning. Back to early-morning workouts and stuff like that. Glad to be in class, glad to be here and glad to be with my guys. I think it's nine of us in total, including me, that are early-enrollees. I can't wait to have my other guys here from this class.

Just happy and glad to be getting to work. I haven't played football in a year so it's kind of awesome to be able to get back out there with a team and to know you'll be going out with them on Saturdays. Guys you'll go to war with each week.

I can't wait!

This Sports Illustrated blog, this ride, has been amazing. Coming in every week, 48 weeks in a row that we've been here, week-in and week-out. We launched the blog with Sports Illustrated to share an inside look into my recruiting up to now, my life in general and other things that have happened on this crazy ride, especially with this unprecedented pandemic. Even the advent of the Sooner Summit, which has been duplicated by the college recruiting community all over, was announced right here. It has been the inside scoop, the raw, everything about me that many people may not know. Just the day-to-day life I live, the week-to-week. It's been amazing to see the support and the help. It has been unreal at times.

This journey of starting off and not really knowing what we were gonna do...or if this was going to work out. To how it turned out, with so many people joining in with my blog each week. Our Editor, John Garcia, has told us the impressions, the interactions and things like that. It is crazy to know that literally millions of people have shown interest in my journey, my story, through this blog. I never considered that, at 19 years old, so many people would be paying attention to my story.

I'm very grateful to have everybody on this journey, all the way from narrowing down my top schools and then announcing that I'm going to OU.  The social justice moments we shared along with my actual move across the country to Norman. And then still, weeks and months after, everyone is still interacting with my blog...Thank You!

I'm signing off for a good little while after today's blog. I'm finishing up my final semester at Gonzaga while starting my first semester at OU. I have 2 full time class schedules and a playbook to learn. I'm with my guys, Coach Riley. All the strength and conditioning coaches, all the support staff and support system. And I'm going into a QB room that is proving to have an embarrassment of riches, and I'm focused on doing my part, as I promised you all, to win a few Nattys.

I'm locked in. I'm ready. I've been waiting on this for what seems like my whole life.

So thank you SI, John for being alongside me virtually every week. To my unit, I couldn't thank you enough. You know who you are, and what you mean to me. Thank you to all of the supporters out there; I can't wait to get this started back up.

Signing off for awhile, Caleb Williams: All on the Line. Make sure you stay healthy, stay safe, stay positive, and make sure you wash your hands.
