South Carolina Remains Steady in Rankings Despite Series Loss
South Carolina has been one of the most impressive teams in college baseball this season. Even when losing games; the Gamecocks are still accomplishing remarkable feats. Despite being just 12 games away from the end of their regular season, the Gamecocks suffered their first series loss of the season, which is quite impressive considering it came at the very end of April.
Though the Gamecocks suffered their first series loss of the season, the team remained steady in the rankings. The Gamecocks remain ranked third in the country and are gearing up for a trip to Omaha.
South Carolina has a road game against Winthrop on Wednesday before heading to Lexington for a three-game series against Kentucky. The 15th-ranked Wildcats have been a dangerous team all season and could threaten the Gamecocks, especially following this past weekend. Taking the series would be a big move for the team, who's looking to get back on track and finish the season strong.
